N84804 was a civilian 1946 Aeronca 7AC and was converted to an Aeronca L-16 military observation configuration by SAS Inc.
The conversion included changing to a Continental 0-200 engine and
installing wing tanks.

This floatplane represents a full restoration carried out by
SAS Inc. N3506M is a 1947 Piper PA-12 Super Cruiser with a Lycoming O-290
140 HP engine. This aircraft had experienced extensive frame corrosion due
to salt water exposure. See the photo of part of the horizontal stabilizer
assembly (below, left). We include the photo of the frame (below, right) to
show that when we meant it when we said this was a full restoration. What
you see here is just the basic fuselage frame with the floats attached.
Everything else has been removed and was restored or replaced prior to
putting it back onto the restored frame.
