Visit Richard Long at hangar 21 to see his Piels designed Super Diamant under construction. This is a four seater and will have a 175 HP engine. It should be a good cross country aircraft with a decent cruising speed. It is very similar in design to a CAP 10 aerobatics aircraft (also Piels designed), so it should be "light on its feet" as well. Here is what it looked like in October of 2000. There has been a year's worth of additional work since then but it wouldn't show on pictures like this. On the next page are some very recent pictures (Dec 2001) which show some of the progress since then.
