June 15, 2002.

Weather was a big concern for the success of the June 15th fly-in. The week before (and after) was not attractive for flying. The morning of Saturday, June 15th greeted locals with rain showers and a heavy overcast. But as you can see from the pictures below, things improved and a very successful fly-in only somewhat dampened by weather ensued. The June 15, 2002 fly-in was co-hosted by the Florida Sport Aviation Antique & Classic Association (FSAACA). The first aircraft arrival was at 9:20 AM. Approximate 30 aircraft flew in and over 130 people signed the FSAACA register. Here are some pictures from the fly-in. There are comments below for each of the pictures. We hope you enjoy them.

My apologies to the many great planes that I did not get pictures of. There was only one of me and many airplanes. Besides, I wanted some conversation and lunch too! The Webmaster.
